One of the most popular musical lesson types offered by Allegro Music is Piano lessons. Piano, often thought of as the basis of musical lessons, encompassing many of the principles of musical education, is the number one lesson type for new students. Piano lessons provide both a practical lesson with the instrument itself - allowing for a child’s growth and sense of immediacy as the child engages with the instrument - as well as lessons in musical theory. Theory and history lessons include such things as learning to read music, including sight-reading, practicing scales and melodies, and the importance of disciple and practice. In individual lessons teachers provide a lesson plan that is specifically designed catered to each student, with the aim of developing both performance skills and technique.
This individualized attention and encouragement often does a great deal in boosting student’s confidence as they gain new skills, strive for goals (including but not limited to Certificate of Merit State Evaluation Programs) and practice for recitals. This development of technique and skills helps the students gain confidence who may otherwise have been shyer in conventional school settings. Gaining new skills and confidence in themselves as they step out into a performance role in recitals often has a radial effect on younger children, as they become aware of their abilities and take pride in their accomplishments. Building fundamental skills and self-confidence, Allegro Music seeks to enhance all aspects of learning for their students, and provide exceptional piano and life lessons no matter how old the client.
